Angels Among Us from Dancing Princess Designs!!

There is so much excitement in the air. I returned last Sunday from an inspiring getaway trip with 12 other ladies. We rented a cabin on the Ohio River and did nothing but relax and eat...not a bad weekend, huh!!

I was so inspired by the trip that I had to scrap some pics using Dancing Princess Designs' BRAND NEW release, Angels Among Us. I must be lucky the past couple of weeks, because I won Dani Alencar's kit Lovely Flavor, from a drawing after participating in her Speed Scrap at GoDigitalScrapbooking last week. It is such a pretty kit. I made my first layout for the May Word Art challenge at GDS.

JAB designs provides the most gorgeous word art on the planet for this challenge. You can find her store HERE at GDS.

American Idol

Ok, let me just say that I only started watching AI about 2 years ago when my daughters got into it. I am not into the reality show genre, but let's face it, these kids got alot of heart. Ok, that said, I loved watching David Cook win last year and think he has a great voice.

So on to this year. The favorite seems to be Adam, BUT, I am really tired of hearing him scream. This guy is soooo talented, but he chooses to scream during EVERY performance. He totally mutilated "One" by U2 and also "Cryin'" by Aerosmith tonight. Slash was right when he told him he could sing "Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zepplin without going so crazy up in the high notes...and Slash was right. He sounded great that night. So...the only way I think this guy is marketable is to have him belt out some 80's-like glam-rock.

My daughter loves Danny, and I have switched my vote from Adam to Kris, who absolutely killed tonight with his version of "Heartless" by Kanye West!!

I found a great site Karina's Kitchen: fresh recipes from a gluten-free goddess, which has great recipes for vegans, gluten-free dieters (me) :) and those with Celiac disease. She has a great recipe today for "Vegan Blueberry Brownie Bites" Go and check it out...they look great!! I will have to let you know how they turn out!!

Yay, I made a blog...sort of!!

So today marks the beginning of a new challenge for this 37 year-old chick...creating a blog. It is a small blog, mind you, and will hopefully become really cool as I learn the ropes.

I just wanted to give a "shout-out" to my friends and digi-scrap designers that I CT for: Silly Beans Scraps and Helen Ehrenhofer. I discovered both of these talented ladies' designs at my digi-scrap home, GoDigitalScrapbooking, where I love to "play", which is what I call it when I am caught up in my world of digi-scrapping. Both of these ladies are amazing.

Another big part of my life is living wih Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia. I am a disabled RN, and will be posting info about health and nutrition here as well.
I am in day 15 of a 21 day Elimination Diet, to rid my body of built up toxins. This should help with my FM. My family has been VERY supportive, as I cannot have gluten, dairy, chocolate, caffeine, sugar, artificial sweeteners, chocolate, beef, pork, chocolate. Did I mention that I can't have chocolate!!!!

OK, now I will see if my first post works.......
